OGSG Sets To Revoke Allocation of Stores At Itoku Adire Market

Ogun State Government will revoke and review the allocation of Itoku Adire Mall in Abeokuta, by allotting the stalls on merit, in order to ensure peace and unity among traders, for the smooth running of businesses in the State.

          The Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, made this known at a peace meeting with the representatives of Itoku Adire Mall, held in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

          Jagunmolu said, the purpose of the meeting was to find lasting solution to the petitions written by the traders on wrong allocation of stalls at the Mall by the last administration, assuring that, government would not be biased nor partial in allocating the stalls.

          In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engr. Abimbola Olayiwola, appealed to the traders to cooperate with government in order to allow a hitch-free process.

          In his submission, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Kayode Ademolake, said all evidences concerning the former allocation of the shops must be submitted by the traders, to enable government have adequate information about the procedure which led to wrong allocation of the shops.

          Responding, the Iyaloja of Itoku Adire Market, Alhaja Sadiat Akamo, urged government to do the needful for a peaceful co-existence among traders in the market.
