Just In: Ogun Tribunal Reserves Judgement In Shote, Osunsanya’s Legal Tussle

The National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Thursday reserved judgment till a date to be communicated to parties in the petition filed by Barrister Taiwo Shote prominently known as Pepe against the declaration of Kolapo Korede Osunsanya (KKO) as winner of the election in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency of Ogun State.

Shote, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is challenging the declaration of Osunsanya of All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the February 23rd, 2019 election.

The three-man panel, which is headed by the Honourable Justice Wakkil Alkali Gana, adjourned till a date to be communicated to parties after the counsel to both parties adopted their final written addresses.

While Mr. John Olusegun Odubela (SAN) of Ricky Tarfa & Co.represented Shote, Kayode Akinsola led the team that defended Osunsanya.

Ijebu Central Federal Constituency is made up of Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu North East and Odogbolu local government areas of Ogun State.
