The Ogun State Government has re-appointed the Acting Chairman of Ogun State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin, Iyeru as state sales agent to collect revenue from buses and taxis for the government throughout the tenure of transport committee.
In a release dated 30th September, 2019 and signed by the Secretary of Ogun State Transport Committee, Hon. Tunji Akinosi, reads: “Sequel to the extension of the above-named committee by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, the governor of Ogun State from 30th September, 2019 to 30th November, 2019.
According to the release, we therefore officially notify you that you have been re-appointed as state sales agent to collect revenue from buses and taxis for the Ogun State government during the NURTW week throughout the tenure of the transport committee.”
Reacting, Alhaji Iyeru, thanked the governor and the committee for the confidence reposed in him, promising not to let them down.
He also expressed gratitude to the Barrister Sunday Olufemi Adeniyi-led 13 man committee for the support given to the union so far.
