The Ogun State Police Command has arrested 33 year Old man identified as Olabowale Samuel for allegedly having unlawful knowledge of a 7 year old girl in Ogun State
The State Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested on the 4th of October , 2019 following a report by the father of the victim who complained at shagamu police station.
He maintained that the victims father had complained that he came back from work in the evening of that day only to discover that the pant of the victim is stained with blood.
“On enquiry, the victim informed him that it was the suspect who lives in the next building that lured her into his room and sexually abused her.
“The victim, whose mother has separated from the father was left in care of the neighbour in the house who did not know the time when the suspect lured her to his house.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime,” he said.
Oyeyemi noted that the victim had been taken to the General Hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile , the Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of state criminal investigation
