Saudi King announced a holiday after the shock win over Argentina World news
Saudi King Salman has declared a national holiday after the country’s impressive soccer team won the World Cup on Tuesday over Argentina, state media reported.
The 86-year-old king “ordered that tomorrow, Thursday, be a holiday for all public and private workers, as well as male and female students at all levels of education,” Al-Ekhbariya channel reported on Twitter.
The move comes in the middle of the final tests in the Gulf country, which show that they will have to reset.

Celebrations broke out across the capital Riyadh after the final whistle blew, with fans doing irregular dance circles and waving the national flag emblazoned with swords from the windows of speeding cars.
Al-Ekhbariya posted pictures of King Salman’s son, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, celebrating after watching the game with a group that included energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.
