Exhausted doctor collapses in Chinese hospital amid Covid surgery; video went viral World news
As China grapples with a sudden resurgence of Covid cases, in the world’s memory of how 2020 has begun, several videos of the current struggle in hospitals in China have emerged. In a video, shared by the Telegraph, a doctor, apparently tired of attending to patients, collapses on a sofa.
In another video, several Covid patients are seen lying on the floor receiving CPR from ventilators and a team of doctors.
The new wave has caught China off guard after its strict lockdown was lifted last month. Hospitals are packed to their capacity and crematoriums are seeing sudden surgery on bodies as the BF.7 variant of the Omicron strain is believed to be the main factor behind the surgery.
In the video, shared by The Telegraph, we can see the doctor attending one patient after another and then suddenly collapses on his chair requiring the intervention of other doctors. Unable to revive him, his colleagues lifted him from the chair, the Video Telegraph said.
While the dire situation in China has become a global concern in the past two days, the event, as reported by The Telegraph, occurred on December 14, indicating that the flow of patients began weeks ago.
