Imran Khan says General Bajwa called him a ‘playboy’: ‘I was in the past…’ | World news

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that retired army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa called him a “playboy” during their last meeting before he was removed from the constitutional post last year through a no-confidence motion.
In his interaction with media persons on Monday at his Lahore residence, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf talked about the “dirty voices” he claimed to be connected with him.
“What we are sending to our youth is through dirty audios and videos,” he said and indirectly blamed the powerful establishment for recording such audios.

Recently three audio clips believed to belong to Khan were leaked.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that these audio clips are authentic and likewise the video clips of Khan may be released in the coming days.
“In a meeting with Gen Bajwa in August 2022, he told me that he had audios and videos of my men. He also reminded me that I am a ‘playboy’. I told him… yes, I was a (playboy) earlier and I didn’t say I was an angel,” Khan said, adding that he had suspected that Bajwa intended to remove him from power.

“I came to know that he carefully played a double game… and made Shehbaz Sharif the Prime Minister. Bajwa stabbed me in the back,” Khan said and said that Bajwa’s ‘organisation’ in the military is still working to stop him from returning to power.
Khan, 70, who suffered bullets in his leg during a rally in Punjab province last November, regretted giving the extension to Gen Bawja.
“It was a big mistake on my part to give extension to Gen Bajwa. Bajwa started showing his ‘true colour’ after he got better and finally he conspired against my government on the issue of accountability,” he gathered.
