TAMPAN Visits Oyo Assembly, Declares Support For Makinde’s Govt

-We’ll partner Stakeholders to grow entertain, art industry- Oyo Speaker

The Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN visited the Oyo State House of Assembly, promising to always support Governor Seyi Makinde’s government efforts in rebranding the State.

TAMPAN under the leadership of its National President, Mr. Bolaji Amusan on Monday during the courtesy visit admonished the lawmakers to always support policies and motions that will improve the creative industry in the State.

Amusan stated that TAMPAN constitution made it clear to make every State Governors grand patron of the State chapter of the association.

He said, “As an historian, There is no way we can move forward without our history. Oyo State is relevant to us in Southwest in everything, if Oyo state is peaceful the whole Yoruba nation is peaceful.

“We are here today to appreciate and felicitate with our young Speaker and every other members of the house, because with your age nobody can presumed what you’ve done in this short period of time.

“We also want to partner with the Oyo assembly, and support government efforts in creating awareness on government policies, programmes and efforts to take the message to the grassroots.”

Describing TAMPAN visit as a step towards furtherance exploration of art, culture and entertainment industry, The Speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin applauded the association for prioritizing Oyo State in its interest.

While appealing to TAMPAN members to avoid been used to create unnecessary political confusion and rumours during political campaigns, Ogundoyin emphasized that actors and actresses should canvass for their political candidates without using abusive and slanderous words against opposition candidates or parties.

“Few days ago we visited cultural Center here in Ibadan to access the facilities towards our plans to revive the place and open it for staged plays to entertain, engage people’s skills and talents.

“We are ready to partner with Stakeholders like you to grow entertainment, culture and art industry in Oyo State.
