A socio-cultural organisation, Obowu-Ihitte Uboma Youth Association, Ijebu Ode on Monday teamed up with other groups in the state to seek for more support for the senatorial ambition of the former Governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
The former state helmsman is the senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ogun East area of the state.
In a press statement jointly signed and made available to Gateway Times Nigeria by the President and Secretary of the Association, Chief Chibuzor Anyanwu and Chief Monday Kalu respectively, the group said they have come out to unanimously endorsed the candidature of OGD.
According to the association which comprises of both Imo and Abia youths resident in Ijebu-Ode, ‘the tenure of the former Governor did not only benefit the people of Yoruba extraction but other tribes who also lived in Ogun state’
‘Though, we are from other tribes, but we have been living peacefully with our Yoruba counter paths. Some of us were born in Ijebu Ode, and we also have our businesses here. The administration touched on lives positively and we are here to reciprocate that kind gesture with our support for the former Governor’s senatorial bid,’ the group emphasised.
Chief Chibuzor Anyawu however appealed to other residents in the nine local governments that make up Ogun East senatorial district.
