Ogun Holds Treasury Board Meeting On 2020 Budget

The Ogun State Government will on Monday 25th November, 2019 hold the Treasury Board Meeting to consider the year 2020 Advance Proposals and Draft Estimates of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.

According to a release issued by Kunle Somorin, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Dapo Abiodun and made available to Gateway Times informs that the meeting which will be presided over by the Executive Governor, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, MFR will take place at the Obas’ Complex, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The release also reveals that the meeting will commence at 9:00am.

Somorin, in the release therefore, solicits the co-operation of stakeholders in Government MDAs towards ensuring hitch-free events.

The State Ministry of Budget and Planning had organised town hall meetings in all the Senatorial districts of the State to take inputs from a cross section of the citizens and other stakeholders last month.

Also, last week, it held a meeting between the Accounting Officers and their Political Appointees in the state.

The Treaury Board Meeting will prepare the ground for harmonisation of the appropriation bill and subsequent appearance and defence of all MDAs at the State House of Assembly.

“The Treasury Board exercise is the first of its kind in the life of the present administration and it is imperative that we all appear to be on the same page”, the statement concluded.
