We Remain the Best of Age-Group Among Our Peers in Ijebuland -Iyalode, Balogun Egbe Obaneye Speak

The Iyalode of Egbe Obaneye Obinrin Akile Ijebu, Mrs Oyindamola Okebunmi and the Balogun Egbe of the age group, Chief Mrs Fehintola-Brat have expressed confidence that the group will continue to serve as the most viable alternative to similar ones in Ijebuland.

The duo spoke in separate interviews on Wednesday on the vision statement of the group which they said would always be their watchword and guiding principles.

The group’s chieftains disclosed that the Regberegbe at the birth age had few people as members but has through painstaking efforts grown massively within a couple of years.

Mrs Okebunmi stated; “Gone were the days when Regberegbes are viewed as just about having fun, it is now regarded based on how you are able to impact positively on your immediate community, including carrying out individual empowerment schemes.”

Chief (Mrs) Fehintola-Brat in her own words said that the socio-cultural group has an established agenda right from the foundation, which makes it easy for the Regberegbe to progress positively year in, year out.

“Our unique programmes in the Egbe Obaneye Obinrin Akile Ijebu will continue to stand us out. And we will continue to serve as shining example to others jostling to be relevant in the comity of age groups in Ijebuland,’ the United States based Navy officer said.

The Iyalode Oyindamola Okebunmi-led Egbe Obaneye Obinrin Akile Ijebu said the group is, however, open to more membership, as the group continues to serve as a pacesetter among youthful age groups.
