NSA Sullivan visit shows strength of India-US partnership: White House | World news
The just-concluded India visit of National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan underscored the strength of the India-US partnership ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic state visit next week, the White House said on Wednesday.
A top Biden administration official traveled to New Delhi this week where he met with Prime Minister Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and his counterpart Ajit Doval.
“Sullivan’s visit underscores the strength of the US-India partnership in advance of Prime Minister Modi’s official visit next week to the United States,” the White House said in a reading of the call.
“He reviewed preparations for the Prime Minister’s upcoming state visit, and discussed a range of strategic, regional, and bilateral issues including steps to improve the strategic technology and defense partnership between the United States and India,” White said. House said.
The two National Security Advisers presented a roadmap for cooperation at an event on the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET), Sullivan said.
