It was an atmosphere of celebration and excitement for the new inductees of The Nigerian Academy of Engineering on Thursday 22nd of June at the Ade Ajayi Ausitorium of University of Lagos.
The induction of the new fellows which say the Guest Lecturer of the day, Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo showering encomium on Engr Ayodele John, the immediate past Chief Operating Officer of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company IBEDC, the National Secretary of All Progressives Congress, Senator Iyiola Omisore and other 12 Engineers also congratulated them,saying the feat has distinguished them among the lots.
“Financing Engineering Infrastructure” was the titled of what Prof Soludo spoke about, as he emphasized on deficit of Infrastructures in Nigeria vis-a-vis how the country can realize fund to tackle it.
Speaking after his decoration as new fellow of The Nigerian Academy of Engineering, Engr Ayodele who apart from obtaining a B.Eng degree Electeical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University attended several institutions in the United States Penn States University/Westinghouse Advance System Technology Course in Pittsburgh, PA. USA, General Electric Union College, Schenectady, NY, USA. said, he his happy to have been inducted as a fellow. ” Am very happy today and congratulate myself, what this will propel us to do more in the country is participate more in policy framework and implementation process of infrastructure for the benefit of the country at large”
Engr. Ayodele who is the former Chairman of the Electrical Division of the Nigeria Society of Engineers used the occasion to implore Engineers to let the people get benefits of being a professional in the industry whenever they are contracted to execute a job.
The Kogi-born professional attended the auspicious event with his ever supportive family led by her wife Dr Mrs Quincy Ayodele, the Founder of Quincy Wellness and Naturopathic Centre among others.
