No one in the UK likes Meghan as much as Kate Middleton…: Shocking poll results | World news
Public opinion of Meghan Markle in Britain has fallen to an all-time low, a new poll suggests. About 68 percent of respondents said they had a negative view of Prince Harry’s wife while 21 percent had a positive view, the YouGov survey of 2,014 people revealed. The research shows that Meghan’s net attention among the public since 2017 has dropped to -47 – the lowest it has ever been.
Compared to April, the positive view of Meghan has fallen by three points and added the result “total negative view” – jumped from 65 to 68 percent. Prince Harry is still not favored by the British public, the poll shows. Almost 63 per cent of YouGov respondents had an “average negative” view of it, while 28 per cent had a positive view.
Six out of ten people have a favorable opinion of King Charles as his overall approval rating stood at 32 – an improvement in April before his renewal. This comes as Spotify has announced it will not renew its three-year contract with Sussexes production company Archewell Audio, worth $20 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, Harry and Meghan have signed on to produce and host “programming that uplifts and entertains audiences around the world” in the form of podcasts. These include Meghan Markle’s 12-part Archetypes series. Spotify and Archewell Audio announced that they have “agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together”.
Among the remaining members of the family, the late Queen Elizabeth II was most favored by the public, with an 80 per cent popularity rating. Prince William and Kate Middleton were favored by 65 percent of respondents.
YouGov recorded that the royal family’s favorability has increased by 28 percent since April, when it turned 25.
