Thandy Charcoal & Spices CEO, Ope Talabi To Host First ‘Ijebu Culturati’ Show In November
Ijebuland will experience the maiden edition of ‘Ijebu Culturati’, a socio-cultural event on November 25, 2023.
The organiser, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thandy Charcoal and Spices, Ope Talabi, said ‘Ijebu Culturati’ is a concept “which bridges the gap between the past and the future with the application of particular approaches in the present.”
Talabi said the event would be yearly and it will feature several activities that are “colorful, scintillating, entertaining and empowering.”
He said the theme of this year’s edition is “Welcoming The Lost Attire,” adding that the event would attract holding in Ijebu-Ode will people from several parts of Ijebu and beyond.
According to him, the theme will explore avenues and build frameworks where IJEBU culture can be translated into a sustainable vehicle for creative expressions, value creation, youth empowerment and other economic development.
He emphasised on the need to protect and preserve Ijebu culture and traditions for the future generations.
“The creative industry holds a huge prospect for FAMILIES, LINEAGE as that is an area that can conveniently accommodate IJEBU PEOPLE endowed with a plethora of creative IDEAS.
“The gap in the strategic needs of IJEBU HOUSEHOLDS that can be bridged by well-articulated direction of the creative ideas where the energy of families can be guided to meaningfully and sustainably contribute to socio-economic fortunes.
“MY One goal of Culturati has remained the turning of passion into profit, whereby the reach of traditional cultures is extended through collaborative effort and partnerships that rewards cultural excellence, empowers young cultural buffs, creates business opportunities for many to leverage on while celebrating IJEBU rich, diverse cultural heritage,” the organiser said.
He added that”The prime goal of IJEBU Culturati is to bridge the gap in youth unemployment, to make the new GENERATION of the IJEBU know what IJEBU is before now. Ultimately, IJEBU Culturati will be established in cities across IJEBU NATION.”
