Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said the 12-day home search was “fruitful.” He added that he expected the authorities to lose their jobs soon. “There have been some things that we’ve had to take into custody… That makes it fruitful,” he said, according to the New York Post.

Rodney said previous reports of a room with no sound found were “erroneous.” “There is no soundless room. There is a vault where he keeps many guns,” he said. “Somehow I believe the silent room and the vault – the message is incomprehensible.” Rodney added that the vault they found was secured with a “big metal door.”

Rex Heuermann was “very quiet” when he was arrested

Rex was “very quiet” when he was caught, he revealed. The 59-year-old was arrested by plainclothes police as he walked down a Midtown street on Thursday night, July 13. Rex has worked in Midtown for several years at his own firm, RH Architecture. He remains on suicide watch at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, and has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and other charges.

Rex’s arrest is linked to the ‘Gilgo Four,’ referring to the four women who saw each other within days of each other in 2010. The women in question were Melissa Barthelemy, 24, Megan Waterman, 22, Amber Lynn Costello, 27, and Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25.

Investigators reportedly believe Rex may have killed his victims in his Massapequa Park home on Long Island, New York, while his wife and children were away. Officials have been removing a large amount of evidence from his home since his arrest. Items that were recently pulled out include a large doll in a glass case, a large painting of a woman with a scarred face and a cabinet cabinet, the Associated Press reported.
