Eredo LCDA Boss, Saliu Steps Up Humanitarian Service, Becomes Red Cross Chief Patron

The executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu, has added another feather to his cap, as he was today decorated as the Chief Patron of Nigerian Red Cross Society, Epe Division.
The Chairman, according to a press statement signed and made available to Gateway Times by his media aide, Prince ‘Seyi Keshiro, was honored for his selfless efforts at bringing smiles to the faces of his constituents.
Saliu was decorated by the Nigerian Red Cross Society Lagos State Chairman represented by the State Information Officer, Mr. Ikas Solomon along side with the Epe Division Chairman, Mrs. Peju Bola-Matanmi at the 7th Epe Division, Nigerian Red Cross  Annual Youth Leadership & Orientation Camp, holding at St. Michael’s Anglican Primary School, Popo-Oba, Epe, Lagos State.
The State Chairman  in his address stated that Nigerian Red Cross Society is a voluntary organization Established by an Act of Parliament, also guided by Seven (7) Fundamental Principles which are Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independent, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality.
Also the Epe Division Chairman, Mrs. Peju Bola-Matanmi expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Adeniyi Saliu for accepting their offer without thinking twice despite the short notices. She said was optimistic the Council Mayor was up to the task.
Saliu in his acceptance speech informed that he accepted the responsibilities associated with his new office in good faith.  I feel honoured to be part of Nigerian Red Cross Society. My investiture as the Red Cross Patron for Epe Division would ensure a new birth for Red Cross in Epe and its environ, he said.
He also assured that he would use his office to mobilise all necessary supports for the Society in Epe Division.
The Chairman was accompanied to the event by members of his cabinet which includes the Vice Chairman, Hon. W. Taiwo and the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Wale Salau. Also in attendance were Hon. Awonaike Tunde, Hon.Ademago, Hon. Adesanya Aderibigbe and Hon. Wale Alaketu, the  Supervisors for Health, Environment, Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation and Education respectively.
While the Leader of the House, Hon. Lateef Adenola Okesanya, Hon. Oluseyi Ibrahim, Hon. Janet Adebambo and Hon. Balogun Fatai also graced the occasion
