In line with the commandment of the almighty Allah (SWT) and the sunah of the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) which enjoined the favoured ones to always reach out to the less privileged especially during the last days of Ramadan, the Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu Land Alhaji (Hon.) Abdul-Rasheed Tele Ogunjobi (FCA) today at his ‘White House’ country home in Ago-Iwoye gives out food and cash gifts to the Muslim faithful who gathered from far and near.
The beneficiaries who came from Ogun Waterside, Ijebu East, Ijebu Igbo and Ifelodun constituencies (Ago-Iwoye /Oru/Awa/Ilaporu) respectively all appreciated the glory of almighty Allah (SWT) through the kind gestures of Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi.
Earlier before today’s event, the League of Imams and Alfas across Ijebu land had benefited same kind gesture from the Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu land.
Imam Abu Akewukanwo who represented the League of Imams and Alfas appreciated Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi for always supporting the Muslim communities and the less privileged in the society.
It’s on record that Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi is contributing meaningfully to the growth and development of Islam across the length and breath of Ijebu land, the more reason why he was turbaned as the first ever Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu land.
Alhaji (Hon)Tele Ogunjobi has built/ renovated many mosques, sponsored many Islamic programs, sponsored many Muslim faithful to Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimages and assisted many less privileged in the society using his personal resources without any broadcast. Asiwaju Tele Ogunjobi is known for his silent philanthropic gestures.
The Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu Land, Alhaji (Hon) Tele Ogunjobi while addressing the mammoth crowd appreciated almighty Allah (SWT) for giving him the strength, resources and ability to assist the Muslim faithful as the 2024 Ramadan is winding up. He enjoined the Muslim faithful all over the world to adhere to the teachings of Ramadan which encourages giving out/assisting the less privileged and the have not in the society.
Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi promised to continue with this noble yearly event and his other kind gestures even beyond the Ramadan period.
Most of the people that gathered for this event came from various Muslim organizations, the physically challenged, political groups, youth bodies, the aged etc.
Alhaji (Hon)Tele Ogunjobi also announced during the occasion that he is planning to give out palliatives (foods, cash and other items) to support the people to mitigate the current economic hardship. The quarter chiefs will be in charge of the sharing of the palliatives when the time comes, this is to ensure fair and equitable distributions of the items to the less privileged in their various domains, Ogunjobi said.
Special prayers were offered for Alhaji Hon Tele Ogunjobi and his late wife, Alhaja Tawakalit Ogunjobi.
The beneficiaries while expressing their joy and happiness sang and danced to appreciate Alhaji Tele Ogunjobi’s kind gestures.
Alhaji Hakeem Arikewuyo , the Special Assistant to the Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu Land appreciated all the invited guests, Muslim/political leaders for their presence during the occasion.
Alhaji (Hon) Tele Ogunjobi is the first and only Ago-Iwoye Son to be elected as the Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government.
The Waziril Musulumi of Ijebu land, Alhaji (Hon) Tele Ogunjobi is also the Asiwaju Egbe Jagunmolu , Ago-Iwoye.
Alhaji Hon Tele Ogunjobi is presently using his personal resources to build and donate a state of the heart Mother and Child Care hospital in Ago-Iwoye for the benefits of the less privileged.
Asiwaju (Hon) Tele Ogunjobi is a member and one of the leaders of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ijebu North/ Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside federal constituency.
