Protest: Ogun APC Sues For Peace, Urges Residents To Embrace Dialogue

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, rising from an emergency meeting held at its State Secretariat, in Abeokuta on Tuesday, has called on the people of Ogun State to embrace peace and to continue to support the government of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal level and that of Prince Dapo Abiodun at the State level.

The meeting attended by the Ward Chairmen from the 236 wards, Local Government Party Chairmen and Secretaries from the 20 local government areas and members of the State Executive Committee of the Party, was presided over by the State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi.

Chief Sanusi expressed his appreciation to the people of Ogun State, especially the youth, who have always maintained peace and refrained from the destruction of properties; as this was the case during the #EndSars protest and therefore urged the people of Ogun State to do all that is possible to maintain peace and harmony for which Ogun State is well known for.

The Chairman also reeled out the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within just 14 months in office and most of which Ogun State continue to benefit from. The party chairman informed further that even as at this morning the general government has approved the construction of Ilaro- Iboro road.l at a cost of N57billion.

The meeting also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for engaging the Youth in Ogun State and seeing them as catalysts for
Development; while appreciating the youth of Ogun State, who have through the National Youth Council of Nigeria and the Ogun Youth Assembly, who have vowed not to join any protest in Ogun State.
