As part of activities marking the 16th Convocation Ceremony of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Prince Yemisi Shyllon, who is Grand Donor/Chairman Supervisory Council of the Pan Atlantic Museum Arts, has commissioned the E-Law Library of Bola Ajibola College of Law of Crescent University Abeokuta,which he endowed months ago.
He, along with Aare Tomori Williams, the Aare Onikoyi of Yorubaland and Alhaji Kabir Gbemisola, the Group Managing Director of FATGBEMS, was also conferred with the award of Doctor of Science Honoris Causa in Business Administration during the award of various degrees of the prestigious institution founded by late Prince Bola Ajibola, the former judge of the International Court of Justice about two decades ago.
Expressing his gratitude, Prince Yemisi Shyllon described the donation as part of recognition to give back to the society especially his Law constituency.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of other honorees, Prince Shyllon expressed his gratitude to the Proprietor, Prince Mahruf Adesegun Ajibola SAN for sustaining the legacy of his dad.
He said Bola Ajibola ‘s legacy was still producing fruits from his graveyard. ” I respect the family and I’m looking forward to committing myself till eternity to Crescent University.
“I don’t know how many universities in Nigeria have this kind of facility because I’m part of many universities”, he concluded.
Earlier, the Proprietor and Chairman Board of Trustees, Prince Mahruf Adesegun Ajibola SAN had given automatic lecturing appointment to the best graduating student, Mr Daniel Oyeniyi who led the pack from the Department of Mass Communication we with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.95.
Prince Ajibola also awarded Oyeniyi scholarships through to his PhD level.
Recall that Daniel Oyeniyi, son of a pastor, had been a beneficiary of the proprietor’s scholarship for more than ten years and his parents were meeting for the first time in eleven years, their child’s sponsor.
