Two Okada Riders Die, Four Others Escape Death In Ogun

Two motorcyclists, on Thursday, lost their lives in an accident involving two motorcycles and two vehicles in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Gateway Times gathered that the accident occurred few metres away from the Paramount FM on the Abeokuta/Sagamu Expressway.
According to a report, A black Toyota Camry with number plate BDG 718 FM; a Volkswagen Bora with number plate KNN 82 TC; a red Bajaj motorcycle with number plate DED 194 YH; and a black Bajaj motorcycle with number plate QN 77 MUS were involved in the accident.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the accident.
Akinbiyi said the driver of the Toyota Camry, which had six persons on board, lost control of the car while driving out of Abeokuta, crossed to the other lane and rammed into the Volkswagen Bora and motorcycles, which were moving in the opposite direction.
He said the crash left the two motorcyclists dead on the spot, while four other victims sustained varying degrees of injuries.
According to Akinbiyi, the Camry driver fled the scene of the accident before the arrival of the rescue team.
He added that the free flow of traffic had been restored on the road.
