Israel is a sovereign country that does not make decisions based on pressures from abroad, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday in response to comments by US President Joe Biden.

Biden previously said he hoped Netanyahu would abandon the judicial changes that have sparked protests in Israel and political crisis for his government.

“Israel is a legitimate country that makes its decisions by the will of its people and does not depend on pressure from abroad, including from its best friends.”
