Just In: Fear Grips Residents As Petrol Tanker Falls, Spills Content In Ogun

Road from Ita eko , Okesokori, Akinolugbade and Totoro in Abeokuta were blocked on Thursday as a petrol tanker fell on the road which emptied its content at Okesokori, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The incident happen around 10: 30am.
It was gathered that all the roads were blocked immediately the petrol tanker fell to prevent the Okada riders and taxi drivers from falling victim.
Gatewaytimes explained that an unknown taxi which who was coming from Akinolugbade rammed into the petrol tanker and while it was trying to reversed lost control and fell on the taxi which made the driver to faint.
While speaking to one of the residents of the area identified as Bayo revealed that the tanker fell because it didn’t want to hit the tax, adding that when the driver was trying to avoid smashing the car lost control and fell on the taxi.
”I was here when the incident happened, the tanker fell down and emptied its content every where and this is dangerous if not for the fact that a swit Acton was taken it would have claimed a lot of lives here but we thank the security agencies that prevent Okada riders and taxi drivers from coming in”
While speaking to the assistant fire supretendent, identified as Mr Adeyanju said that immediately they got the information they showed up quickly to prevent inferno.
” We have dome the necessary thing no inferno can happen again, we have used chemical to foam the ground, so nothing bad will happened, we have come on time to prevent inferno”
