Ojude-Oba ’23: Bakre Omolola Celebrates Awujale, Ijebu Sons And Daughters
Ijebu-Ode- The Chief Whip of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Hon Bakre Omolola Olarnrewaju has congratulated the Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona on the successful celebration of the 2023 Ojude-Oba festival which took place on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Speaking exclusively with Ijebu News Xtra magazine, the state lawmaker representing Ijebu-Ode state constituency expressed delight that the annual world-class festival again brought together sons and daughter of the ancient kingdom to show to the world the unity that exist among them as a people.
The female politician added that the festival which is now been celebrated by both Muslims and Christians as well as traditionalists has continued to place the ancient community on world map, when the issue of tourism becomes a subject of discourse.
Hon Bakre noted that the rich culture and colorful display at the festival was very admirable and commended the Oba for his sound leadership and inspiration which according to him has also help to sustain the peace of the kingdom.
She however thanked all well-meanings Nigerians who contributed to the success of the over 100 years old festival, adding the cultural display of the Regbregbes, horse-riders, and the Baloguns made the event an outstanding one.
