The President of Centre for Change and Women Arise DrJoe Okei Odumakin has thrown her weight behind the brilliant and intelligent students of Comprehensive High School, Ijebu Imushin, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State under the leadership of its Principal, Mr. Wale Adenaya
Mr Adenaya resumed as the Principal of the school on Monday, 5th January, 2026. Being an indigene of the community, and having observed that these days, many of his students choose role models amongst people with questionable behaviour and characters, he identified the need to bring accomplished individuals to spur and nurture greatness in his students, thereby changing the narratives for social evolution and transformation.
Speaking during his introductory remarks, Mr Adenaya noted that Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin has demonstrated uncommon humanity by her visit to inspire the students of the school.
Dr. Joe Odumakin in her remarks themed: “The road to where I am now was not a straight line. It’s a series of necessary detours,” noted that she is a product of public primary and secondary schools which were the bedrock upon which her tertiary education block was built.
She further charged the students to refrain from peer pressure and societal ills.
“Remain focused and stop the blame game”
“Where determination exists, failure can never destroy the flag of success.”
“More importantly, keep your conscience alive.”
