More than 200 people benefited from a Free Medical Outreach organised by the St. Kizito’s High School Alumni Association as part of activities marking the school’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
The outreach, which formed part of the Day Three activities of the Golden Jubilee celebration, attracted residents, members of the school community and other participants who turned out in large numbers to access free medical services.
Medical practitioners were on ground to carry out blood pressure (BP) checks and other basic health assessments, allowing participants to have important aspects of their health checked. Some participants who were found to have elevated blood pressure were attended to and given appropriate medical advice, including guidance on medication and the need to seek further medical attention.
The medical team also used the opportunity to educate participants on how to properly manage their blood pressure, the importance of healthy living and the need for regular medical check-ups. Participants were encouraged to make frequent visits to government hospitals and health facilities for comprehensive examinations and access to the necessary healthcare services.
Beyond the health checks, medical supplies and medications were made available and distributed to participants in significant quantities, ensuring that beneficiaries received additional support after the medical consultations.
Members of the St. Kizito’s High School Alumni Association actively participated in the organisation and coordination of the exercise. They worked alongside the medical practitioners and volunteers to facilitate the movement of participants and ensure that the large turnout was properly managed.
The outreach recorded a successful turnout, with over 200 people benefiting from the exercise, making it one of the notable community-focused activities of the anniversary celebration.
The initiative reflects the Alumni Association’s commitment to giving back to the community and contributing meaningfully to the wellbeing of the people of Iwopin, particularly as St. Kizito’s High School marks five decades of educational service and impact.
The successful medical outreach added another significant chapter to the school’s Golden Jubilee celebration, bringing together healthcare, community service, alumni engagement and social responsibility in a programme designed to positively impact lives.
