
De Pathfinder Political Alliance in Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State has intensified its grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Convener, Alhaji Yusuf Oduwole, through the Local Government Coordinator, Imam Oloro, commended the Founder of Idera PATHFINDERS Foundation, Hon. Dapo Okubadejo, for birthing a grassroots mobilisation arm focused on improving lives, raising political consciousness, encouraging citizens to choose the right leaders and contributing to community development.
The Coordinator noted that members actively participate in meetings across their respective wards, while a general meeting is held on the last Sunday of every month to share ideas, review progress and strengthen coordination, particularly during the campaign and election season.
Speaking at the August general meeting and empowerment programme, former Ijebu Ode Local Government APC Chairman, Hon. Ladi Lekuti, urged members across the 11 wards to mobilise support for the APC and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Former Legislative Council Leader, Hon. Lekan Aliu, also called on members to promote the programmes and candidates of the APC, while commending President Bola Tinubu’s NELFUND initiative.
Former LG Chairman and Consultant to the Governor, Hon. Adebanjo Lekan, described Prince Dapo Abiodun as a suitable candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District and Sen Solomon Olamlekan Yayi has a worthy successor who is well accepted through out the State. He urged members to support the APC in 2027.
Similarly, former APC LG Chairman, Hon. Suraj Logore, commended the empowerment initiative and urged members to take the APC’s message to the grassroots.
As part of the empowerment programme, ₦50,000 was presented to 20 beneficiaries from each of the 11 wards, benefiting 220 members, while a mini-bus was also donated to support APC campaign activities in Ogun State.
Among the notable APC leaders present were the APC candidate for Ijebu Federal Constituency, Hon. Rasaq Daddah; LG Vice Chairman, Hon. Titi Adeyemi; APC State Youth Leader Comr Babatunde Aremu, Governor’s Liaison Officer, Dr. Olatokunbo Tosin; Hon. Bilesanmi; Aare Fagade; Comrade Niyi Qadri; Alhaji Lagun Anibi; and Consultant to the Governor, Princess Abisola Agbona, Former LG Vice Chairperson Alhaja Alli Balogun, Mrs Sherri Teriba among others.
The programme ended with renewed calls for unity, grassroots mobilisation and increased participation in the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
