Ogun NUJ Drags National Council, Others To Court Over Annulment Of Election

The Nigeria Union of journalists, Ogun State council on Monday dragged its National council and some journalists in the state to court over annulment of the election by the national body.

In a case filed against the national executives of NUJ by led Chris Uziguzor and other six candidates who contested the election before justice Muhammad Abubakar of the Federal High court sitting in Abeokuta, asked the court to stop the National council from nullifying the election.

However, the plaintiff counsels, Deji Eniseiyin and B.I Udoma told the court that only four out of the defendants were served.

The counsels however prayed the court for a return date o continue the case.

The defendants, Remi Olugbenro, Daud Olarenwaju, Goke Oyebade, Anthony Gandonu, Bisi Alarape and Abiodun Kazeem were absent at the court.

The presiding judge, justice Muhammad Abubakar adjourned the case till May 20, 2019.
